- Temporary grids can be drawn instantly by pressing number keys.
- The application acts as a fullscreen viewer as the menubar is hidden. High resolution photos are scaled to fit onscreen. Arrow keys show other images in the current folder.
- Functions are accessed by simple keyboard shortcuts. A single keypress shows information about pixel size, modification date, and file size. The background value can be changed and there are 3 zoom levels available.
- A section of a photo can be enlarged simply by clicking when a grid is showing. The area covered by an image can be copied or exported, with a grid if it is visible.
- Images and folders can be opened by dragging them onto the GridaPic icon. While viewing an image it can be marked for batch copying when quitting.

- A menubar gives access to functions although most have keyboard shortcuts. A single keypress shows information about pixel size, modification date, and file size. The background value can be changed and there are 3 zoom levels available. Images can be rotated.
- A section of a photo can be enlarged simply by clicking when a grid is showing. The image area can be copied or exported, with a grid if it is visible.
- Image files and folders can be opened by dragging into the GridaPic window. While viewing an image it can be marked for batch copying.
- The application can be run from a CD or from a USB flash drive plugged into a PC or netbook.
